"Bird's eye view and closer."   Someone recently asked me why I paint.  I think it's because I am fascinated by how the earth looks when you see it from way above, like a bird sees it.  The earth and rivers and cities take on different shapes and colors when they are spread out below you across the miles.  Then when you look closer, you see all the different colors, lines, energy, shapes, and rhythms that connect to make up these parts of the earth.   Over time, this love of the Earth has shaped my painting choices, whether the subject is abstract, aerial or landscape.   I hope you will feel the same joy when seeing my work as I do when I paint.
